The Parc des Princes is a stadium located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France, currently the home of football team Paris Saint-Germain, with a seating capacity of 48,712. Originally a velodrome, it was the finish of the Tour de France from the first event in 1903 until the track's demolition in the late 1960s. It was also previously the national stadium until the Stade de France was built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. The Parc des Princes stadium and grounds are owned by the City of Paris. The name Parc des Princes ("Princes' Park") was given to the surrounding area during the 18th century, when it was a forest used by the royal family for hunting. Officially opened on 4 June 1972, the Parc des Princes has always been somewhat ahead of its time. As a result, while the rest of France launches itself into a programme of stadium renovations, the ground based in Porte de Saint-Cloud still stands up well to current standards. It was also home to the French national team until the Stade de France arrived on the scene.

Green Day is an American rock trio formed in 1987. Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California, US.

Nevertheless, its major label debut Dookie (1994) became a breakout success as a result; Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving mainstream interest in and popularizing punk rock in the United States. Green Day's 2004 rock opera American Idiot reignited the band's popularity with a younger generation, selling five million copies in the U.S. The band's eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, was released on May 15, 2009.

Green Day has sold over 22 million records in the United States. They have won three Grammy Awards; Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, and Record of the Year for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". Present members in Green Day are Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocals, lead & rhythm guitars), Mike Dirnt (bass, backing vocals), Tré Cool (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Jason White (lead & rhythm guitars, backing vocals), Jason Freese (keyboards, piano, acoustic guitar, trombone, saxophone, accordion, backing vocals) & Jeff Matika (rhythm guitar, backing vocals).

Green Day are planning to hit road for Summer 2010 Stadium Tour in early 2010. Green Day has announced details of two UK stadium shows in summer 2010. Green Day will start the tour with a gig at Old Trafford, Manchester (the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club) on 16 June 2010. Green Day will play the second concert at London's very own Wembley Stadium on 19 June 2010.
