O2 Academy Bournemouth is a live entertainment venue in Bournemouth, Dorset, England.The venue is renamed O2 Academy Bournemouth from September 2009 as part of AMG's O2 partnership that began earlier this year. O2 Academy Bournemouth was first used as a circus, and in 1899 became The Boscombe Grand Theatre for its music hall days. In recent times it has converted to a dance hall, where leading UK club brand Slinky chose the Opera House as its home.
